After breakfast, enjoy an Athens Sightseeing Tour in the morning. The sightseeing tour begins with a drive past historic Athens landmarks such as the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, the Parliament House on Constitution Square and the Royal Palace that has served as a Presidential Mansion since the abolishment of the country’s monarchy in 1974. Visit the Panathenaic Stadium or Panathinaiko, the venue for the 1896 Olympics, the first Olympic Games in history.
Continue on to popular Athens attractions such as the National Garden, a lavish 15.5 hectare garden with features such as Corinthian capitals of columns and mosaics, busts of prominent Greek personalities and ancient ruins, initially designed by the First Queen of Greece. Right opposite the National Garden is the 131 A.D. Hadrian’s Arch, a grand marble arch that was once part of a wall dividing the old and new cities of Athens. Enter through the Hadrian’s Arch and explore the Temple of Olympian Zeus. The construction for this temple began in 515 BC. After repeated delays, it was finally completed centuries later in 129 AD.
Other sites that we visit include St. Pauls Church, Schliemans House (Nomismatic Museum) and Catholic Cathedral and the Metropolitan Cathedral of Athens, the largest church in Greece and the venue for official ceremonies such as coronations as well as weddings and funerals of important citizens.
The tour continues on to the Acropolis, an ancient citadel with several temples and historic monuments. One of the most cherished and admired examples of Classic Greek Architecture, the Acropolis astounds architects and engineers even today. Perched high atop a rocky outcrop on the outskirts of Athens, the Acropolis of Athens overlooks the great city and offers great views as well. Explore the ruins of these 5th century BC architectural marvels – check out the Temple of Athena Nike, the world-renowned Parthenon, Old Temple of Athena, Propylaea, Altar of Athena and Theatre of Dionysus Eleuthereus.

After breakfast, checkout from your Athens hotel and set out to enjoy a fascinating Three Day Classical Greece Tour, a tour that takes you through mystical sights and attractions of three Greek cities – Mycenae, Epidaurus and Delphi.
The tour begins with a drive through Athens, past the Olympic Stadium – the Athens 2004 Olympics main venue, to the outskirts of the city. Continue the drive through the Corinth Canal, , a 21m wide canal with 63m high cliffs on either side dug manually through Corinth to connect the Aegean and the Adriatic Seas. Stop for a while here and watch the submergible bridges descend down into the water to allow passage for the tourist ships passing by. There is a bridge at the very top of the cliff too.
Drive on to Epidaurus, a small ancient city renowned for its healing springs in ancient culture and its 4th Century Theatre with outstanding acoustics. Proceed to Nauplia, where we stop for a short while to discover historical and architectural jewels such as medieval castles, ottoman fountains, neoclassical buildings, monuments and statues.
Later, drive through the plains of Argos to arrive at Mycenae, one of the major centres of Ancient Greek Civilization and a military stronghold. Visit archaeological sites and the Tomb of Agamemnon, one of the best-preserved ancient beehive (tholos) tombs in the city.
