The Mediterranean Rivieras Cruise sets sail from Barcelona, Spain and after being at sea for one full day, sailing along the Spanish coastline, the cruise ship docks at Cadiz, Spain.
Shore excursions available for this day include exploration tours of Cadiz; visit to Jerez de la Frontera, the sherry capital of the world; a visit to Seville—Spain’s fourth-largest city for a walking tour; and an excursion to the White Villages & Countryside neighbouring Cadiz. Our next port on call is Gibraltar, a British Territory, and a place of distinctive beauty. Settle down for a beach break; enjoy a cable car ride to Gibraltar’s Top Station and enjoy a Stroll on the Upper Rock; or visit historic sites of Gibraltar and the incredible Europa Point, where the raging Atlantic Ocean mingles with the calm waters of the Mediterranean Sea.
By the time the 5th day dawns, the cruise ship has made a return to the Spanish coastline and docks at Malaga. A brand-new $100 million port promenade filled with restaurants, a bold new branch of Paris’s Centre Pompidou built in the form of a colourful glass cube, and many new museums await you here.
Explore the port or set out on shore excursions to explore Andalusian Highlights such as the 14th Century Gibralfaro Castle; visit the beautiful City of Granada & the the 14th-century Alhambra complex; or set your sights on an experience of the picturesque village of Mijas, also known as the ‘white town’.
The 6th day of the Mediterranean Rivieras Sea Cruise brings us to Alicante, another Spanish port that offers a great gateway to the treasures of Valencia. Enjoy Shore Excursions to Guadalest, the town of Elche, or the Canelobre Caves. Sightseeing tours of Alicante are also available.
Our next port on call is Palma de Mallorca, a Spanish territory island, just off the Spanish coast. Explore the island; enjoy shore excursions to the Caves of Drach; head to the North Coast for a exploratory tour and Wine Tasting session; or join in for a tour of Palma de Mallorca Highlights.
The 8th day of this Mediterranean Sea Cruise, we are at sea; on the 9th day, we make our way to dock at Toulon, a major naval port of France. In addition to exploring Toulon, cruise guests can sign up for shore excursions to the ancient town of Aix-en-Provence or the Provencial village and port of Le Castellet & Sanary.
The next day, the cruise ship docks at Calvi, a charming town on the French island, Corsica. Explore Calvi on foot or set out to visit the villages of Corsica; either way, you will have a good day.
The principality of Monaco and its resort quarter, Monte Carlo, is our next port of call on this Mediterranean sea cruise. There are many choices of shore excursions from this port: sign up for a Taste of the Riviera, that includes a visit to Eze and Nice; revel in the scenic beauty of the Jewels of Cote d’Azur: especially, Nice, Eze and Monaco; or visit St Paul de Vence. You can always enjoy a scenic tour of the Highlights of Monaco and Monte Carlo.
The 12th day of the Mediterranean cruise marks the second last day of the cruise and the last of the shore excursions. Choose wisely, for we have docked at Livorno, a port that offers access to the myriad treasures of Tuscany.
Shore excursions include a transfer to Florence for self-guided explorations; a tour of Tuscan landmarks across Florence & Pisa; a coach ride to discover the jewels of Cinque Terre; and a tour of the ancient city of Lucca, combined with an experience of the Villas of Lucchese and a Tuscan lunch at a local farmhouse.
The Mediterranean Rivieras Sea Cruise ends with the ships arrival at Civitavecchia, Rome and disembarkation with sweet memories of your cruise.
