Shanghai World Financial Centre Observation Deck Tour Guide:
This 1614 feet tall Shanghai World Financial Centre literally puts you on the Top of the World at Sky Walk 100, the 100th floor Observation Deck, which at 1555 feet, is the Highest Observation Deck in the world (at the time of writing). Not for the faint hearted or those suffering from vertigo, this magnificent deck offers unrivalled views of Shanghai from a spectacular setting.
Spanning 55 metres or 180 feet, the Sky Walk 100 offers a heart-stopping experience with its transparent glass-walled walkways. Angled glass walls allow you to peek down the deck and see Shanghai spread out in all its glory at your feet.
If Sky Walk 100 seems too far up, opt for the observation decks at Sky Arena 94 or Sky Walk 97. Sky Arena 94, a popular exhibition area on the 94th floor, is the lowest observation deck (at 1388 feet) at the Shanghai World Financial Centre. Sky Walk 97, on the other hand, is mid-way between Sky Arena 94 and Sky Walk 100 and offers panoramic views of Shanghai through wide, ceiling-to-floor glass windows and a glassed roof that opens up. It is located at the 97th floor and is at 1440 feet.
For the best views, make the trip at night, when the entire city of Shanghai is alit with twinkling lights and the Huangpu River comes alive with beautifully lit cruise ships. The Shanghai World Financial Centre is located in the Pudong area.
