Dream World Tour:
If Gold Coast is the capital of theme parks, then DreamWorld is the unrivalled king of theme parks. Considered widely as the most popular theme park in Australia, DreamWorld encompasses in its 30 hectares as many as 13 worlds, each offering a distinctive experience.
Experience Madagascar Madness in the company of King Julien, Alex, Gloria and the Penguins; visit Shrek’s magical medieval land, the Faire Faire Away Land to ride a dronkey (the offspring of Donkey and Dragon) or a Gingy Glider; and revel in the spine-tingling thrill of Australia’s First Full-Motion Virtual V8 Supercars experience. Young guests will find numerous enjoyable moments in the Wiggles World.
Delight in the Kung Fu Panda Land of Awesomeness, a land where Kung Fu moves and tolerance levels are a necessity. Show-off your Kung Fu skills battling the wooden warriors and sparring dummies at the Kung Fu Academy and surrender yourself to the hands of your kids as they skadoosh their way through a busy marketplace on a dragon cart with you in the passenger seat (hold tight!!!).
In the Big 8 Thrill rides, Pandamonium offers some serious Kung Fu thrill; while the not so daring can opt for the relatively gentler rickshaw chase adventure, adults and thrill seekers can hop on to a cycle that soars 8 metres high, turns you round-and-round, side-to-side and upside down at up to 3.8 G-forces. BuzzSaw first takes you on a vertical ascent up to 46 m, dangles you upside down and drops you on a free fall through a 360-degree roll that has your heart in your throat.
The Tower of Terror II takes your heart, squashes it and puts it back again with a ride that begins with eerie darkness in the very depths of the tower’s lair but reverses out of the tunnel in 7 seconds flat, only to plummet them back into the tunnel – facedown! Do not miss a chance to experience the Cyclone, the tallest rollercoaster in the Southern Hemisphere; the Giant Drop, one of the tallest freefalling rides in the world; the Wipeout, the wildest wave in Australia; and hang on for dear life to the Claw, the most powerful pendulum-styled Talon.
Rides apart, guests can experience the wonder of nature at the Wilderness Section of DreamWorld. Cuddle young Tasmanian Devil joeys and koalas, feed crocodiles and set out on an Outback Adventure or a Sunset Safari at Australian Wilderness Experience. Meet the resident tigers, observe them scale 20 feet trees, walk alongside them as they stroll and frolic about in the forest, beyond the regular park grounds and pose for photographs at the Tiger Island.
